WEDs & THURs AT 11am. READIT'S rules for Storytime at the library: Please arrive on time, please stay with your child throughout the stories and craft. Discuss storytime with your child before and after the session. Please don't chat during the story. No food or drink. Be responsible for your child. Children must wear a nappy if not completely toilet trained or pants/underpants if they are. Sit with your child and if you think they may be disruptive, please take them outside for a while. Kingscliff got its first library in 1979 - a classroom situated beside the Cudgen Headland Surf Club, looking out on the sandy beach. In 1984 it was a shop front within the Kingscliff Shopping Village. Since June 2000, the library is within the rainforest remnant off Turnock Street. The current location includes a rainforest boardwalk, where visitors can try to spot the "Wollumbin Frog", or wander down to Marine Parade (front street) for a Gastronomic Delight". Kingscliff Public Library is a model modern library.

In November 2009, Murwillumbah library gave local community members the chance to nominate themselves to becoming a Living Book! Tea Grower, Professional Athlete, Filipino Migrant, Indigenous Australian, Adoptee told their stories and shared their experiences in informal sessions lasting 30 minutes. The Living Library project is worldwide but originated in Denmark ( Danish Youth Non-Government Organisation Stop the Violence whose mission was, to increasing understanding between cultural groups).
